August 9th 2008 my 12 year old daughter Jamie Coyle a, healthy, ice hockey player suffered a stroke during a game. David Dansereau being from our home town of Cumberland Rhode Island seen a story about Jamie in our local paper. He contacted us at U-Mass Memorial in Worcester. David met Jamie and has been by her side since helping her to recover. David is a blessing to our family sent to us by God we believe. David understands Jamies thoughts and emotions better than any of us do seeing he has been there and back. David fills Jamie with hope and encouragement weekly while getting her closer to the ice again. Davis is so knowledgeable about stroke and nutrition connections he needs to be spreading awareness on stroke. A person who is as dedicated to helping figure out why stroke happens and how to fully recover should be on Oprah spreading the word. Davids commitment to Jamie should show you all how he tries to make a difference daily to raise awareness and help out pediactric stroke survivors. Davis has made such a huge difference in Jamies life that Jamie and I want to help David to help others. If everyone who reads this asks one friend or family member to write to Oprah on Davids behalf it would be a tremendous help.
